The Integrity Group Dedicated to Help Those Who Answered the Call!
The horrific impact of Hurricane Michael on parts of the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend was met by the brave men and women in green. While many deputies, staff and managers within the local Sheriff’s Offices were impacted personally by the disaster, these public servants answered the call to serve their communities. Continuing our long-term working relationship with Florida Sheriffs, The Integrity Group has deployed our disaster recovery consultants to work with four Sheriffs’ Offices. These departments have been impacted with high costs, physical damage, and disruption of the daily role of protection and service. While it is obvious to the public that their local Sheriff was there for them, the Florida Mutual Aid Program also demonstrated (as residents saw) the deployment of hundreds of Deputies from all regions of the State. With that fantastic service came substantial costs. Our recovery professionals are working with the Sheriffs, their leadership teams and key staff to identify, document, analyze, submit and manage recovery claims for all aspects of service. Fortunately, our experienced team will ensure that maximum reimbursement and support is attained for these crucial public safety agencies. We are also working with the Florida Sheriffs Association to learn from this massive disaster and establish a program to assess, train, and prepare Sheriffs across the State for future disasters. It is anticipated that the Sheriffs efforts will result in a true “model” in emergency management response and recovery. The Integrity Group Senior Partner and former FDLE Commissioner James T. Moore said of these projects, “The Florida Sheriffs’ commitment to law enforcement service is even more visible in the aftermath of a major disaster. Without the incredible leadership of these Sheriffs and the men and women who work with them, this disaster could have been even more destructive. We are honored to be partners with these fine agencies”
